Yukihiro Sakai apprenticed under Nishida-San in Kumamoto and learned his masterful technique of forging steel. Adopting these techniques, Sakai-San continues to make knives just like his teacher. Recently, he established his own workshop and began producing his own knives in Kumamoto.
