ZDP-189 is a high-quality steel produced in Japan using the powder metallurgy method. Particularly favored by Japanese knife makers, this steel stands out for its long-lasting sharpness and high durability. With a hardness of 65-67 HRC, it offers excellent cutting performance and is resistant to corrosion thanks to its high carbon, chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium content.
